The Orbital Launch Vehicle Team at Virginia Tech

The Orbital Launch Vehicle Team, or O.L.V.T., is a collegiate research team, consisting of more than 80 members, with the end goal of becoming among the first collegiate design teams to reach past the Kármán Line. Operating like a well oiled machine, the organization is split into several sub-teams, of which, I am on the Structures sub-team as a sub-team lead where I am primarily responsible managing the CAD of our rockets, managing a lab space, and helping to lead other members of the Structures sub-team towards our common goal. While on OLVT, I have been able to participate in and learn about a variety of fields that I never would have thought possible.
